After an initial snow cancelled event, it was a full house at the Lakeside hotel and Spa for the ‘Implications of GDPR’ seminar and networking event.
With over 80 registered delegates representing 60 companies across the Isle of Wight, it was a diverse audience who all had questions and concerns on how GDPR will impact their business. Hosted by PC Consultants, the event was chaired by PC Consultants Managing Director, Jonathan Thornton and started with an in-depth look at the legislation by Gary Peace from ESID Consulting. Following Gary, I presented on 4 practical ways we can prepare for GDPR; How to handle mailing lists, Web forms, Cookies and Privacy Policies.
The session was rounded off by a talk by Matt Harlow of Jadestone Recycling Specialists, and a 30 minute Q&A session where the speakers were joined by Alistair Dickinson, CEO of MyCRM and author of ‘The Essential Business Guide to GDPR’
